A beautiful community in west St. Louis County at the intersection of Interstate 270 and Manchester Road. Des Peres offers a variety of unique homes and tree-lined neighborhoods and serves the Kirkwood School District and Parkway School District.
Des Peres is extremely proud of its parks and recreation systems, which features six locations and over 100 acres of parkland. Des Peres Park is the crown jewel of the park system with of 40 acres of meticulously maintained lawn areas, a two-acre lake, picnic pavilion, one mile long walking and jogging track, tennis courts and athletic fields.
The development and continued growth along Manchester Road has helped transition the community into a modern day hub of commerce. It’s lined with approximately 255 businesses varying from incredible restaurants, small businesses, specialty shops and more. A few of the local restaurants to stop into include, J. Gilbert's Wood-Fired Steak & Seafood, Circle 7 Ranch and The Daily Bread Bakery & Cafe.
Located at 1050 Des Peres Road, is the communities cherished community center, The Lodge. The 74,000-square-foot building features a gymnasium with elevated running track, a fitness center, meeting rooms, indoor wave pool and outdoor aquatic center.
West County Center was developed in the 1960’s as one of the first regional shopping centers in the metropolitan area and remains a prominent staple in the Des Peres community. It’s anchored by Macy’s, Nordstrom, JC Penney, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
The public schools serving Des Peres are Parkway School District and Kirkwood School District. Students also enjoy access to numerous nearby private schools.
