Recognized as the city’s oldest park, Shaw Park is a one-stop destination for fun and merriment. Sprawling and wonderfully maintained, this lovely green space features an aquatic center (with a 50-meter lap pool and other swimming areas), the Treetop Playground, sand volleyball, sports fields, and more. Another favorite community park is Oak Knoll Park, located just off of Big Bend Boulevard.

Exploring the city’s urban areas? Attractions and exhibits of all kinds are close by. Take the entire family to the Saint Louis Zoo, which houses over 12,000 animals. On the same grounds, grab your tickets to the Saint Louis Art Museum. Permanent and rotating exhibits are sure to please even the most discerning art enthusiasts. Other notable places include the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, the Saint Louis Science Center, Forest Park Golf Course, and Pagoda Circle in Forest Park.
